Whitening toothpaste containing baking soda might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of glass repair. However, it is one of the most effective products for the removal of auto glass scratches. Simply dab some toothpaste on the scratched area and buff it in with a microfibre cloth. Using a damp cloth, wipe the excess toothpaste from the area and check to see if there has been an improvement in the scratch. Repeat as needed.
3. Final Cleaning
Once you’ve removed the scratch, grab a clean microfibre cloth and your glass cleaner and clean the entire windshield to remove any residue or fingerprints left over from the repair.
